Heritage Resorts - Stories 2018 - Issue 2 - Page 32

Drawing its inspiration from ancient
oriental beliefs including Hinduism
and Buddhism, it uses a fusion
of massages, chromotherapy (colour-
therapy), aromatherapy and music, to
rebalance the seven chakras or energies
(each associated with a colour, which
gives it its name).
With the new holistic ‘wellness bliss’ packages, guests
can build a ‘feel good’ factor into their stay in this tropical
environment, with a bespoke wellness experience each day.
A personal prescription can include massage treatments in
the spa or osteopathic treatments for chronic back pain, Reiki
healing, healthy food options in restaurants (including gluten
and dairy-free) – and detox cocktails – as well as private
exercise classes such as yoga, tai chi, qi gong and pilates in
the ‘wellness sanctuary’ and fitness sessions with a personal
trainer. There are classes to learn how to become master
of your own well-being, from mindfulness and meditation
to postural alignment and life coaching, and guests can
even reserve an in-room wellness menu: healthy minibar, a
prepared bath, pillow scents, chromotherapy lamp and
a yoga mat.
